Concept Rule for a Planet
The name planet comes from the Greek word 'Planetes' meaning wanderer.
Until August of 2006, the criterial attributes set for being a planet were not yet defined. Scienctists have recently set parameters for the definition of a planet. A planet must orbit the sun, have strong enough gravity to squash the planet into a circular ball, and finally it must have a clear path within it's own orbit.
